C Classification and Rec-All Stars
USSSA hosts “C” and Rec/All-Stars divisions to provide competition where teams can enjoy a more balanced level of play.
The “C” & Rec/All-Stars Divisions aim to provide an environment where teams are introduced to travel softball, have an enjoyable experience, and develop as players. USSSA hopes the team will, at a point in its future, move up in level of play. However, USSSA does not forbid a team from playing at these classifications if the team continues to fit the model for any length of time as a youth fastpitch team.
USSSA works to ensure parity and proper placement in the “C” Classification and the Rec/All-Star Division. To do so, USSSA East utilizes a classification committee to review each prospective team. Our committee is led by Chairman Glen Warholic ([email protected]).
By definition, Rec/All-Star teams are comprised of players who play in-house recreational leagues and are focused on the fun, introductory side of softball. USSSA offers a few of these events later in the summer to allow these teams to compete against other similarly comprised teams and experience a taste of “travel ball.”
Teams MUST apply for placement in the “C” or Rec/All-Star Divisions.
